Meetings
The great thing about meetings is that in their most basic
form they are very simple, yes when you have big sets etc
it can get more complicated however the basis of being diffferent
is where you do it.
The desert is always a great place to begin. We can pretty
much do what we want out there, tents that used to come on
the back of a pick up ten years ago now come with air conditioning
and toilets... imagine having camels at the coffee break..
wild!
Dubai's beaches offer us the same flexibility.. and we can
make the screens easier to read although it's not brilliant.
However it is ideal for running work shops.. in the sun each
delegate gets a beach bed instead of a chair from the banquets
department.
Alternatively what about a progressive meeting, at somewhere
like Madinat Jumeriah we could do this around the souk using
the restaurants.. or perhaps around Dubai using a double decker
London bus.. we'd set the coffee break up on the bus itself.
We'd use three or four locations having meetings in each one,
lunch could be at any of these locations.
Here's an example Itineary.
09:00hrs Morning Coffee in the
groups hotel, meeting opens in their Ballroom.
10:30hrs Guests board double
Decker bus and transfer 10 mins to Dhow
11:00hrs On board the Dhow the
meeting continues.
12:30hrs Meeting finishes and
guests transfer to Hilton Dubai Creek for lunch in Gordon
Ramsey's restaurant Verre
14:45hrs Guests arrive at a desert
meeting room after a short transfer by landcruiser, the meeting
continues.
16:45hrs Meeting breaks again,
this time the guests are taken on a short safari finishing
at the sunset bar where the VIP or MC makes the closing speeches
and the meeting is over.
The Arabic night then starts with a Falcon display
