Orientation
The orientation runs a little like this although when you
come out on the inspection trip if there are any areas that
you want to put in, or cut out (i.e. if you think the guests
will not shop or that the museum would be a problem etc) ….
no problem.
Starting out at the hotel, we drive down the beach road,
past the palaces of the royal family with a short stop at
Jumeirah Mosque - possibly the most beautiful in the area
and certainly the most photographed.
We then proceed onto Karama - or Fake City Arizona where
the guests will find all manner of fakes from Lacoste to Channel.
Dragging them away kicking and screaming - we are off to the
museum and then a walk through the material souks to the abra
where they will find these quaint water taxis 'chartered'
just for them- and they take a ride across the creek to the
spice souk. Wandering through the old lanes of the spice souk
is really a step back in time - and then (finally) they reach
the glittering gold souk - plastic friends at the ready -
and they are off!!
The guides are all very experienced to give the guests some
fun but not too involved information. They are also available
so that if we have guests who want more detailed information
they just have to ask!
Coaches are mainly 18, 45 or 51 seaters. They are always
airconditioned, the drivers are safe and experienced. There
is always water and soft drinks on board.
As well as this the standard tour, we can also modify it
to create anything from photo rallys to themed dinners...
yes the ultimate progressive dinner, all the way around town
on a coach. For more information about this, see the out of
the ordinary section.
