Visas For Oman
VISAS are required every one in some form except nationals
of the Gulf Cooperation Council States.
Passport must be valid for at least 6 months before the date
of entry into the county this is not required for the following:
Nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the
United Arab Emirates holding national identity cards or holders
of the Macau (SAR) Travel Permit.
It then becomes a question of whether you have to apply for
the visa before you travel or whether you can apply for the
visa when you arrive in Muscat.
The following Nationals are permited to apply for a 14 day
extendable visa on arrival
Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei Darussalem,
Canada, Chile, Croatia, Ecuador, , French Guiana, Iceland,
Indonesia, Japan, Korea (Rep), Malaysia, Maldives, New Zealand,
Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa,
Surinam, Switzerland, Thailand, Ukraine, USA, Uruguay and
Venezuela.
All EU nationals (except Cyprus, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta
and Slovenia)
It is worth noting that whilst you don't need to apply in
advance for a visa it can speed things up if you have time
to do this... but like all middle east countries this information
became outdated the day it was issued so it's always a good
idea to check in advance.
The other thing worth noting is that the airport is not the
only way to go to Oman, we can also travel in by road, either
by car or coach.. it's actually quicker to go from Dubai to
Muscat by car rather than plane.
