The Grand Hyatt Muscat

This has to have one of the most confused lobby areas ever! It's in league with the Al Bustan lifts! It's as if three different designers gave their ideas to the owners, and he liked them all so he gave them each a section - and then they put a huge revolving horse in the middle. The Horse is revolving because they could not decide whether it should face the front door (thus leaving it's nether regions very apparent as people walked out of the coffee shop) or vice versa - so, the only sensible thing to do was to have it revolving! Well naturally! The Bustan did the same thing.. but they gave their engineers a lift shaft each.

The hotel is built in a U shape so that all of the rooms have a view of the beach - albeit with a slightly cricked neck in some instances. The rooms themselves are cool and freshly decorated with contrasting soft furnishings.

They have good conference space, dinner for up to 700 people in the Ballroom. Outside the space is a little limited for external functions however the poolside is another spot that would warrant another look.

While the hotel has a beach it's a public one, however most people wouldn't realise that.

The Hyatt also boasts some great bars,the African Bar being one of the most popular bars with the Europeans.

This hotel works well with singles as well as with partners, for group sizes of 10 - 50 younger age group.
