The Al Bustan Palace

Rooms - 256
Restaurants and bars - 6
Conference Space - 1372m2 total

Opened in 1985, the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat hotel has built a reputation as the best hotel in the Middle East and one of the finest hotels in the world. The hotel is identified as the Jewel of the Sultanate of Oman and the Middle East. Situated eight kilometres from the downtown business district and 35 kilometres from the airport, the hotel is nestled on the coast surrounded by a dramatic mountain backdrop, sea and beach and set in 200 acres of lush, green gardens.

This is how the Al Bustan describes itself, we however are far more enthusiastic! In the past two years the Al Bustan has undergone one of THE best refurbishments we have ever seen. Remember all those nasty rooms on the lower floors.... you would not believe how attractive they are now - far outdoing the Arabic Style rooms! The lobby is no longer brown! The restaurants too have been given a total facelift.

The only part of the public areas that hasn't changed is the lobby bar, and somehow this seems right, as most of the staff are still there - so an old fashioned service (real napkins, lovely snacks, frosted glasses, and they remember you even if you have only been there once!) in an old world surroundings!

The conference and banqueting space needed no real overhaul. The ballroom (with THAT organ in the corner!) has always been imposing, and will seat 800 for dinner.

Outside, well, in 200 acres it's not difficult to believe that there will always be the 'right' space for whatever type of function we need to produce.

We like this hotel, and believe us you will LOVE the rates.

Meeting Space at a glance

One main ballroom that can hold up to 800 people for dinner. Auditorium for 628 Fourteen Additional Meeting rooms that take from 20 up to 50 people in each

Notes

The Gulf of Oman room just screams Gala Dinner - with the pre-function rooms that lead through the biggest doors to the main dining area - and then from there there is the terrace that looks over, guess what, yes - The Gulf of Oman!

The Pearl Room on the lobby level has a huge terrace which is great for check in, and also for exclusive breakfasts - however the main breakfast area is large enough with a beautiful terrace.

This hotel works better with partners, for group sizes of 10 - 100.
