Sample Oman Programme
50 couples

By far the most impressive hotel is the Al Bustan Palace hotel, created on the beach for a GCC meeting it boasts over 200 rooms and suites and vast conference space, however we have hotels to suite most profiles of group.

The guests arrive in the hotel after being helped through the airport, Check in is done with canapés drinks and, when they are ready we take them to a small fishing village, rent some small fishing boats, and they go off around the coastline discovering private coves and the Gulf of Oman which. As it is part of the Indian Ocean it's the deepest blue and extraordinarily clean and clear… a snorkelers delight!

Dinner this evening takes the theme of the sea with a huge seafood buffet… Lobsters, Hammour, Prawns, and all manner of fish cooked to order.

The next day we see Muscat, driving down the coast road and visiting the fish market and the natural history museum, where there are examples of frankinsense trees. Oman is one of only two countries where Frankinsense trees grow, then a walk through the old walled city. Did you know that until 30 years ago the city gates were locked at night? Then to the souks. Muscat Souks are just what you would expect souks to be, how they have been for hundreds of years, not there for tourists, there for the locals to do their shopping!

We then go to a private beach for lunch and watersports. We have some great boats for exclusive hire as well. For Dinner, there is Muscat's second best feature, Indian food. We have a restaurant that. put simply offers the best Indian food outside India. (Remember Mumbai is only 3 hours away, and the majority expat population of Muscat are from India) Great music, great food and a view to die for.. Perfection? Not yet!

Today is real Omani Experience! We start at the fort at Nakhel which is has been sympathetically renovated and shows just how life would have been way back then back into the four wheel drives and, after a short stop at Towarrah Springs here they are off into the Wadis (dried up river beds), where they drive through the stark natural beauty of the interior of the mountains, contrasting with the lush oases that they encounter along the way. Lunch is a very special picnic (we have got this right) in the Wadi - beside some clear water pools where they can swim. We can always put an element of competition into this as well.

After lunch back to the hotel where we offer them afternoon tea and costumes for this evening!!! The ladies choose a costume - the men have the Omani 'dress' and the headscarf which is actually useful!

This evening is the Omani Night, not to be confused with an Arabic night, this is the real thing.. Descriptions just can't do it justice, suffice it to say, if you haven't done an Omani night, you haven't done areal Arabian night.

Oman is a seriously impressive place, but one of the most wonderful things about Oman is the way that it never fails to surprise the people that have already been to other parts of the Middle East. All Omanis are justifiably proud of their clean cities, safe environment, rugged mountains, real wadi's, real souks,, thousands of years of visible history, forts and culture.

Oman is the country that defines that feeling of Arabia we are all trying to impart to our clients when we talk about the Middle East.

This programme is based on about 50 people and costs for the above including everything, drinks transfers and are coming in at about a thousand pounds per person, and remember this page has centred only on Muscat as an incentive destination, all the infrastructure is there for conference and specialised events, and there is the rest of the country to expand on yet!

Hotel rates are in the region of 85 pounds a night, and yes that's a recently renovated five star beach property that we are very happy with and if you know us you know what we mean! Pictures and more information are on our web site in the Oman section.
