Orientation Dinner
This is a great event for a young group of people or even
a group of older more fun orientated people, below is the
description of a more relaxed theme however this can be a
very up market event utilizing champagne and caviar and the
odd dhow here and there. Most importantly we think that it
should be fun and interesting.
The orientation ( which is what they think this is ) starts
off peacefully enough…… Jumeirah road, the palaces,
then on to Karama and down to the museum then at the abras
( that we usually collect at the Sheraton Hotel )
Here we steer sharply left and swing in to one of Dubai's
oldest pubs ( The Pub…. creativity was not a strong
point in the days of yore ) we have a few swift ones in there…
with a nibble or two on some chicken wings etc and then hit
the road again.
Then!
On to the abras and access to the Gold Souk. After a look
through the Gold souk the next stop is Dubliners… here
we have a few more swift ones accompanied by some thing a
little more staple food wise and we get back on the road
The last stop on the route is a place called Champions, very
nice sports bar in the Marriott hotel. They have loads of
games etc and the main course … we then pretty much
and leave them to it. The coach can take them back as and
when they feel like via any of the local nightclubs.
There is also an orientation element in here as well with
this type of dinner we adjust the information that the guide
is giving and the guests will hear about Dubai from and expat's
point of view, what people that live here do in the evenings
and a bit about their life style.
For the more up market version we would use the World Trade
center as a drinks stop then Champagne and caviar on a Dhow
followed by a gala type set up around the roof top poolside
of the JW Marriott.
